Galaxy A13 5G coming soon as Samsung’s cheapest 5G smartphone - Gizchina.com

Samsung has pretty much revolutionized its smartphone business back in 2019 with the Galaxy A-series and M-series arrival. The company brought some specs and characteristics that could be only found on its premium Galaxy S devices to the mid-range and even to the entry-level segments. This year, after consolidating its mid-range smartphone series, the company is giving a step further.

Samsung Galaxy A13 5G is already in development

The Korean firm is finally adding 5G to its mid-range smartphones. It has started with the Galaxy A52 5G, and more recently the company introduced the Galaxy A22 5G for those who want a 5G smartphone but can’t pay too much for it. Now, the company wants to make 5G even more accessible and that is coming soon in the form of a new entry-level device dubbed Galaxy A13 5G.

As aforementioned, the Galaxy A22 5G currently stands as the cheapest 5G smartphone from the brand. However, fresh information has emerged from GalaxyClub.nl, and according to it, the Korean firm is working on a new A-series smartphone dubbed Galaxy A13 5G. The device will be succeeding the Samsung Galaxy A12 from last year. The publication states that the Galaxy A13 5G will debut as the most affordable 5G smartphone from Samsung.

Unfortunately, not much is known about the specifications of the Samsung Galaxy A13 5G. Samsung hasn’t been putting much attention to its Galaxy A1x-series lately. Instead, it has been bringing more affordable devices under the Galaxy A0 series. However, if the report is accurate, the Galaxy A13 5G can be an exciting device for users who want a Samsung smartphone with a 5G handset but that can pay the price of a Galaxy A22 5G or beyond.  According to the report, the new smartphone will carry model number SM-A136B and will come with pricing under $236.

Galaxy A12 specifications

For those unaware, the Galaxy A12 was introduced in December 2020. So there is a strong chance that its direct successor will debut in the last quarter of this year. To recall, the Galaxy A12 has modest specifications such as an LCD screen with 6.5-inches and HD+ resolution. Under the hood, it has an Helio P35 chipset and up to 6 GB of RAM with up to 128 GB of Internal Storage. Lights are kept by a 5,000 mAh battery with 15W fast-chargin support. Samsung will probably pair the newer model with a Dimensity 700 SoC.

Galaxy A13 5G

In terms of optics, the Galaxy A12 has a 48 MP primary camera. The setup also has a 5 MP ultrawide lens, a 2 MP macro camera, and a 2 MP depth-sensing module. The A13 5G shouldn’t make big upgrades in the camera department as well.

We expect more details to keep popping out in the coming weeks, and possibly months. After all, Samsung smartphones are leaking a long time ahead of their releases.

PUBG: New State Pre-Registrations Go Live in India for Android, iOS Users - Gadgets 360

PUBG: New State pre-registrations have gone live in India, game maker Krafton has announced. Pre-registrations are now open on Google Play store and App Store for Android and iPhone users, respectively. The new game was announced globally in February but pre-registrations were not opened in India back then as the company was working on re-launching PUBG Mobile India — that debuted as Battlegrounds Mobile India — in the country. However, now that the launch of Battlegrounds Mobile India has happened, Indian users can join other gamers around the world in pre-registering for the PUBG: New State.

Krafton says that PUBG: New State will launch as a free-to-play experience on Android and iOS platforms this year. However, an exact launch date has not been shared yet. Interested players can pre-register on Google Play for Android devices and App Store for iOS devices. PUBG: New State has so far attracted over 32 million pre-registrations globally since February, but these numbers do not include fans from in India, China, and Vietnam. Pre-registered users get free access to a limited vehicle skin (permanently).

Announced in February, PUBG: New State has the familiar battle royale setting, but it is set in 2051 and includes modern weapons and vehicles, as well as some gadgets that promise to enhance the gameplay. The trailer released in February showed off some of the new mechanics and environments that will differentiate PUBG: New State from other PUBG titles. Some of the teased features include new rides, flying toys, and customisable guns.

To recall, PUBG Mobile India was banned in the country in September last year due to its relationship with Chinese company Tencent. It was brought back as Battlegrounds Mobile India this year, after PUBG Mobile's publishing and distribution rights were taken over by Krafton. The same company is now bringing PUBG: New State to India as well. Krafton says it has invested a total of $70 million (roughly Rs. 511 crores) in India this year in the IT sector including in an esports company Nodwin Gaming, the game streaming platform Loco, and a web novel platform Pratilipi.

Now, the company has revealed that owners of unlocked, Sprint, and T-Mobile versions of the Galaxy S21 can participate in the One UI 4.0 beta program as well.

Samsung posted in its community forum earlier today that it will soon begin the One UI 4.0 beta program for the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, and the Galaxy S21 Ultra. Apple Watch Production Delayed Due to Complicated Design: Report - Gadgets 360

Apple's latest smartwatch production has been delayed due to its complicated design, the Nikkei reported on Tuesday, citing people familiar with the matter.

Manufacturers of Apple Watch began small-scale production last week, but they faced difficulties in reaching satisfactory production performance, the report said.

Production of the smartwatch has been temporarily suspended as the iPhone maker and its suppliers try to sort out the issues and certify the designs before going into mass production, according to the report.

The company was scheduled to unveil the smartwatch along with the latest iPhone models in the coming weeks, but the challenges might affect its shipment plans following the unveiling, the report said.

Apple declined to comment.

As per a recent Counterpoint report, Apple Watch has remained a leader in terms of global smartwatch shipments in Q2 2021 and its active user base has now surpassed the 100 million mark.

Counterpoint said that Apple maintained its lead in terms of shipments, but its market share declined to 28 percent in the second quarter from 30.1 percent reported in the same quarter last year. One of the key reasons said to be behind the decline was the “intensifying competition” created by Chinese and Indian brands in the last few months.

Despite the slight dip in market share, Apple Watch has managed to grow its user base to over 100 million for the first time. Apple Watch Series 6 and Apple Watch SE were also reportedly the top-selling smartwatches globally in the second quarter, followed by the Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2, Apple Watch Series 3, and Imoo Z6-4G.
