Microsoft Windows 11 leak shows redesigned user interface, updated Start Menu and more - Times of India

Microsoft is all set to launch its next version of Windows operating system on June 24. Likely to be called Windows 11, screenshots of the operating system have already surfaced online. Now, a complete video of the entire Windows 11 OS has leaked and reveals new user interface, updated icons, start menu changes and more.
According to a report by The Verge, the upcoming Windows operating system will feature an updated user interface where the most noticeable thing is the redesigned taskbar. The app icons have been moved to the centre along with the Start Menu. And the tray area now also appears to be much cleaner than Windows 10.
Another major change is in the Start Menu. From the video footage, the new Start Menu is a redesigned version from Windows 10 but without Live Tiles. Also, the entire interface has been redesigned to give it a much cleaner and minimalistic look.
It also shows some pinned apps like Recent files, Photos, Settings, etc. At the bottom half there’s a Recommended section as well. Another major change is the position of the user account and the power button, both which are now placed at the bottom of the Start Menu.
Microsoft has also gone with more polished rounded corners across the theme. Starting from the Start Menu to File explorer.
It is also rumoured that Microsoft will bring back Widgets with Windows 11. From the footage, it seems that they are just forked versions of the Live tiles. However, The Verge report mentions that the Widgets are not fully functional yet. Also, there’s no major change in the notification centre or Microsoft Store.
The entire change in the user interface is highly inspired from what we have seen in Windows 10X which was originally designed for dual display devices. With the Windows 10X project completely axed, Microsoft appears to be using the major chunk from Windows 10X in Windows 11 operating system.

Adblock test (Why?)
