Samsung has stopped selling the Galaxy Z Fold2 in the US through its official online store. When you try to access the page that used to host the listing for the device, you're greeted with an error message telling you that the "Galaxy Fold is no longer available for purchase on Samsung.com".
The wording is weird because it references the original Galaxy Fold that was out of stock for months anyway following the launch of the Fold2, but this may just be a case of the person in charge of the copy for such messages simply reusing the text from when the original Fold stopped being offered by the company's online store.
You can still find the Fold2 at Best Buy and AT&T, but not at Verizon and T-Mobile. All of this suggests that Samsung is trying to slowly phase it out of the market - Best Buy and AT&T may just have lingering stock they haven't yet sold. And in case you're wondering why Samsung would do something like that... well, we don't want to read too much into it, but could it be that the Galaxy Z Fold3's launch is fast approaching?
So far we've heard the unveiling of that model would take place in very early August, with sales possibly debuting before the end of that month. But even so, it's a bit strange for the company to not have a top of the line foldable on offer for almost two months. So maybe this was just a fluke? We'll have to wait and see, but if you're in the US and wanted to grab a Fold2, maybe do that while you still can.
