Xiaomi is ‘designing a brand new MIUI system’, seek users’ feedback - Times of India

Chinese consumer technology company Xiaomi is set to do a major overhaul to its custom MIUI operating system, claims a report by NoteBook Check.
As per the report, Xiaomi has posted an online survey — which currently is now closed — with an intent to find out not only what features users want to see in the MIUI but also what are the bugs that have been affecting their Xiaomi smartphone experience.
“We are designing the brand new MIUI system,” states the survey, according to the report. It is apparently aimed at Global ROM smartphone users and the feedback form notes that this covers MI, Europe, Russia, Indonesia, India, Turkey, and Taiwan.
According to the screenshots provided in the report, the survey requires the users to first mention which Xiaomi phone they own — Mi, Redmi or Poco. This is followed by the model number information, desired feature in the global ROM model and the specific reason for that.
After this, the survey asks users to list out MIUI bugs that they want fixing and users have already posted “hundreds of comments.”
Issues like overheating while recording 4K videos, missing system wallpapers, inability to process 4K in the in-built editor of the gallery were reported in the Poco F1. Users of Redmi series phones complained about issues with dual apps and split-screen, missing portrait option and trouble with playing HD videos on OTT apps. As for the Mi series phones, users raised issues related to WhatsApp notifications, delay in the opening of apps and screen becoming Black near notch.
While Xiaomi is doing all the work right now to flag the issues and create a new custom Android UI, there is no hint of a speculated timeline when we may get to see the new MIUI.

Adblock test (Why?)
