It seems like Samsung is going to continue with its tradition of making a customised special Thom Browne Edition of the Galaxy Z Flip phones. Last year, it gave the ‘Thom Browne’ design treatment to the Galaxy Z Flip and it may just do the same with the Galaxy Z Flip 3, as per a report by LetsGoDigital.
As per the report, while the Z Flip 3 Thom Browne Edition looks similar to the previous gen model, with a matte grey paint job and the three colour stripe, the external display is expected to be bigger and is expected to be covered by black glass, thus creating a two-tone design. The report adds that the display with the new Thom Browne Edition won’t be an Always On one.
Coming to the rumoured specs, the phone is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 870 SoC coupled with 8GB RAM and backed by 256 GB storage. It is said to run Samsung’s One UI 3.1 with DeX support. As for the camera segment, the phone is expected to have a 12MP+12MP rear camera setup and a 10MP front camera. It is expected to be backed by a 3,273 mAh battery that supports 15W wired plus 9W wireless charging.
The Thom Browne Editions are produced in very limited numbers and sell out quickly. Samsung had made only 5000 Thom Browne units last year. One other thing to note is that they come with the customised smartwatch and earbuds. It could mean a Galaxy Watch4 this time and Galaxy Buds2.
