Truecaller is rolling out a new update to its app, called the Truecaller Version 12. The version brings in new features and a redesigned user interface. As of now, the company has rolled out the update for Android smartphone users in India. Here are the new features that the company has announced.
Video Caller ID
Video Caller ID allows users to record a short video that plays automatically when you call friends and family. Apart from recording a selfie video, users can also set a Video Caller ID using one of the built-in templates.
Call Recording
With Call Recording, users can record all incoming and outgoing calls. All recordings are stored locally on the phone. The feature was so far available to paid users, but will now be available to all users with smartphones running on Android 5.0 or higher.
Call Announce
With Call Announce, users can know who's calling without even looking at their phone. Truecaller will read out the name of the caller, even if the contact is not stored in your phone book. Call Announce will only be available to Premium and Gold subscribers.
Ghost Call
With the Ghost Call feature, users can set any name, number and photo to make it appear as if the user is getting a call from that person. Ghost Call will only be available to Truecaller Premium and Gold subscribers.
Subscription of Truecaller Premium is priced at Rs 179 for three months, Rs 339 for six months and Rs 529 for a year. The Truecaller Gold membership is priced at Rs 2,500 a year.
Truecaller is one of the most popular platforms for verifying contacts and blocking unwanted communications. The platform claims that it has over 300 million users globally. Earlier this year, the company added Group Voice Calling, Smart SMS and Inbox Cleaner feature based on user feedback.
