Vivo’s next Android device to be powered by Snapdragon 870 chipset - Times of India

NEW DELHI: Vivo was expected to unveil its first Android tablet this year. Earlier this year, an online report revealed that Vivo is planning to launch its first tablet in the fourth quarter this year. However, the launch did not happen. Now a new report has surfaced online revealing the new launch date and some other details of the tablet.
According to Digital Chat Station, Vivo is now planning to launch its first Android tablet in H1, 2022. This means that the smartphone can launch the tablet anytime between January and June. The report also claims that the first Vivo tablet will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chipset. Likely to be called Vivo Pad, the tablet was also spotted on TUVs website and is expected to pack an 8040mAh battery.
Images of the upcoming VivoPad were also leaked online. The images leaked showed the design of the yet-to-launch device. As per the images, the VivoPad will come with a slim design and uniform bezels. The rear of the tablet will house a large camera module same as the one used in the Vivo X60 series. The right side will house the volume keys while the top will consist of the two speaker slots and the power button. The bottom will house a USB Type-C charging port and two speaker slots.
Apart from Vivo, other Chinese smartphone makers are also gearing up for the launch of their Android tablet tablets. Both OnePlus and Oppo are working on their respective Android tablets. Likely to be called Oppo Pad, the Android tablet from Oppo is said to be powered by Snapdragon 870 chipset and pack 6GB of RAM.
The smartphone is said to come with 256GB internal storage and run Android 11 operating system. The device is said to feature an 11-inch LCD display with 2560x1600 pixel resolution. The device is also expected to house a 13MP primary camera and an 8MP secondary shooter. It is said to be backed by an 8,080 mAh battery.
