Apple iPhone 14 Pro’s pill-shaped cutout seen in leaked display panel image - Times of India

Apple is expected to launch the iPhone 14 series later this year. Although the company has not revealed anything about the upcoming flagship smartphone series, numerous leaks and rumours have revealed what we can expect. As per previous reports, Apple will launch four new models in the new lineup - iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Max, iPhone Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. The tech giant is rumoured to ditch the notch in the ‘Pro’ models in the iPhone 14 series for a pill-shaped cutout and a punch hole camera.
Till now, we have seen several renderings based on the speculation but the leaked image of rumoured iPhone 14 series front panel seem to confirm the design. The ‘Pro’ models also appear to have thinner bezels and slightly different aspect ratio as compared to the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max.
According to known display analyst Ross Young, Apple will also keep the ProMotion feature limited to iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. Apple first introduced the ProMotion feature in iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max which were launched in September last year. For those who do not know, ProMotion adjusts the refresh rate of the display according to battery life and content on the screen.
As per analyst Jeff Pu, the two Pro models in the iPhone 14 series will feature triple rear camera setup with a 48MP Wide lens, 12MP Ultra Wide and Telephoto lenses. Similar predictions were shared by known analyst Ming-Chi Kuo earlier this year. He also said that the smartphones will support 8K video recording. Jeff Pu also expects that the Apple iPhone 14 Pro models will feature 8GB of RAM. For context, the iPhone 13 Pro models are equipped with 6GB of RAM.
