Twitter tweaks its own tweet, Edit Button launch imminent
Twitter edited a tweet and once clicked on "Last edited", people can see the original tweet and the previous edit history.

New Delhi: Twitter on Friday showcased its soon-to-arrive Edit Button on its own platform, by tweaking one of its tweets that showed ‘Last Edited’ at the bottom of the post.

Twitter edited a tweet and once clicked on “Last edited”, people can see the original tweet and the previous edit history.

“Hello. this is a test to make sure the edit button works, we’ll let you know how it goes,” the micro-blogging platform posted.

Earlier this month, the company announced that the ability to edit tweets would be available to Twitter Blue subscribers “later this month”.

Twitter Blue subscriptions are paid on a monthly basis, and priced regionally based on the current US price of $4.99.

Edit Tweet lets people make changes to their tweet after it’s been published.

“Think of it as a short period of time to do things like fix typos, add missed tags, and more,” according to Twitter.

During the test, tweets will be able to be edited a few times in the 30 minutes following their publication.

Edited tweets will appear with an icon, timestamp, and label so it’s clear to readers that the original tweet has been modified.

Tapping the label will take viewers to the tweet’s Edit History, which includes past versions.

“We’ll also be paying close attention to how the feature impacts the way people read, write, and engage with tweets,” said the company.

How To Use Notes?

  1. Update to the latest version of the Instagram app.
  2. Open the Instagram app.
  3. Now, head to the DM section.
  4. Here, tap on ‘Your Note.’ Type out whatever’s on your mind.

Realme GT Neo 3T review: A power-packed deja vu - HT Tech

The Realme GT Neo 3T plays on a unique race-flag design, an 80W fast charger and Snapdragon 870 to offer a powerful gaming option. But is it worth buying?

A smartphone can make you feel a wide range of emotions, from excitement to disappointment but not all make you feel a sense of deja vu quite like the Realme GT Neo 3T. If you have just seen it listed online and were confused with its specifications, then don't worry, you're not alone. The smartphone does eerily resemble the Realme GT Neo 2 on paper. But that's not a bad thing.

Repackaging or repurposing has become a strategy for brands operating in the midrange segment who want to get a little extra life out of their existing hardware. And while it might be a deal-breaker for some, looking at it purely from a consumer perspective, sometimes it can make sense. An older processor can be optimized better and a newer device can have those little quality of life improvements that make it a better smartphone overall.

But not all smartphones are able to do it and these things are rarely captured in the spec sheet. That's why we used the Realme GT Neo 2, err… Realme GT Neo 3T for two weeks to find out what this smartphone is all about and how it compares to the latest devices in its price segment. So, let's get down to the brass tacks.

The Realme GT series has always been flamboyant and innovative when it comes to design aesthetics and the Realme GT Neo 3T continues the tradition with a unique race-flag design on the back which comes to life under the light. Personally, I found it to be the right balance between quirky and stylish. Compared to the Realme GT Neo 3 that comes with horizontal stripes, the newer device is definitely less distracting and still manages to look cool.

The smartphone comes with a polycarbonate back and has quite a nice touch and feel to it, although it's slightly on the heavier side at 195g. It's not a glass back but it definitely does not feel cheap. The back is also quite resistant to fingerprints, which is always a plus. A thing to note is that the smartphone is definitely not comfortable for one-handed usage.

The camera module is an exact replica of the Realme GT Neo 2 and rest of the ports and front display follows the typical Realme schematics with power button on the right, volume rockers on the left and no 3.5mm jack at the bottom. For those not familiar with Realme, its front camera is placed at the left corner, which might take a bit of getting used to.

Overall, the back panel is quite interesting and gives the smartphone a unique look to it, but we feel it could have been made a little lighter for more comfortable usage.

Realme GT Neo 3T Display

The Realme GT Neo 3T features a 6.62-inch FHD+ AMOLED display which looks quite good. The display colors are slightly saturated but personally, I find it quite appealing especially while watching videos or playing games. True-tone fans might be slightly disappointed. Along the same vein, the viewing angles were quite nice and the colors looked crisp. The smartphone also has very thin bezels which adds to the overall experience.

The smartphone also comes with 120Hz refresh rate and a touch sampling rate of 360Hz which definitely benefits slightly while gaming. And even if you're not a gamer, you can always enjoy the smooth scrolling experience on social media apps. The smartphone also has a peak brightness of 1300 nits which means even on a sunny day you can easily use your smartphone and do not have to worry about reading the text or checking out a picture.

The smartphone supports HDR10+ but it does not work on Netflix or Amazon Prime Videos, likely due to certification issues. That means the only place you can experience HDR rich videos is YouTube, which is a bummer. But that one let down aside, the overall display is really good and gives you a good value whether you want to consume content or play games.

Realme GT Neo 3T Performance

The smartphone is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 5G chipset which was also seen in the Realme GT Neo 2. However, the company claims that the processor has been optimized for better performance and a higher battery life. While we could not compare the two for obvious reasons, I was quite happy with its performance.

The smartphone is definitely fast whether it is the app opening speed, multitasking or just doing RAM intensive tasks like photo editing. It never slowed down for me and was able to handle any task thrown at it.

Coming to gaming, I played a variety of games on the device, from COD: Mobile, Apex Legends, FIFA 23 Mobile, Asphalt 9 and even some Marvel games. I was able to play COD: Mobile at high graphics and frame rates, Apex Legends at ExtremeHD graphics and very high frame rates and FIFA 23 at Ultra graphics and 60 FPS. The game load times as well as response times were pretty fast and I never faced any issues with frame drops. However, it should be noted that the device does not support 90FPS gaming and if you're a competitive gamer, you'd be more benefited from iQOO Neo 6 which does have the feature.

What also added to the gaming experience was the Dolby stereo speakers and the haptic feedback. The speakers in particular were rich and loud, which is missed by many smartphones in the range. The haptic feedback was also very sharp, which added to the immersiveness of the games.

The smartphone runs on realme UI 3.0 and while the operating system is filled with fun customization options, it is also filled with bloatwares. The most annoying of them, which will bombard your device with notifications, can be uninstalled. But there are others which you will just have to tolerate in the device.

Another point to be mentioned is that although it is a gaming device, it is a midrange smartphone and will not be able to survive the strain of professional gaming or for streaming games. If that's what you're looking for, you'll be better served with Asus ROG 5s or the iQOO 9 Pro, but both of them will cost more.

Overall, the OS still comes out as a let down but apart from that the smartphone does not give us much opportunity to complain.

Realme GT Neo 3T Camera

The Realme GT Neo 3T sports a triple rear camera setup with a 64MP primary camera, a 8MP ultrawide lens and 2MP macro sensor. Goes without saying, but the camera module is also exactly the same as the Neo 2. The primary camera takes some really nice shots during daytime. The colors are vibrant which lean slightly to the saturated side, and the detailing is quite impressive. But if you prefer true-tone colors on your smartphone, this will not be possible on this device. In that case, I'd suggest you opt for the iQOO Z6 Pro.

The ultrawide camera performs fairly well in daylight scenarios. But both the cameras take a dip when taking images in low light conditions. The pictures look blurry and there is noticeable noise in those shots. They are still usable, but probably not worth posting on your Instagram. The third is a macro lens which is nothing to write home about.

The front camera performs quite well. And once you turn off the beauty mode, the images look close to natural (still not entirely natural). As with the rear cameras, the daylight performance is significantly better than low light performance. The portrait mode is bang average.

Overall, the Realme GT Neo 3T is not a camera phone and all the cameras give just average performance. If you're looking for a camera-centric smartphone we'd recommend Realme 9 Pro+ instead. Check the snapshots from the camera here.

Realme GT Neo 3T battery

The Realme GT Neo 3T is backed by a 5,000 mAh battery which should last more than a day in most smartphones. However, even with moderate usage that included social media scrolling, watching videos, attending calls and general app usage, the smartphone would not last an entire day. While gaming, the battery life was even lesser. It was a little underwhelming since we thought the smartphone would be more optimized.

However, to somewhat offset the annoyance, the smartphone packs an 80W SuperDart charger that can charge the phone from 0 to 50% in 12 minutes. It takes around 45 minutes to charge fully.

Realme GT Neo 3T verdict

At the beginning of the review, we said that resembling a predecessor is acceptable as long as the smartphone offers value and demonstrates some clear upgrades over it. While the Realme GT Neo 3T does offer a lot of value, we failed to see any significant improvements from the last generation.

The only two noticeable changes are inclusion of an 80W charger and a new design on the back. We hoped for a more battery optimized device but in terms of performance, it does not deliver that. The camera performance is also average and the OS could definitely be improved.

However, without the shadow of the predecessor and ignoring the above mentioned flaws, I found it to be a solid gaming smartphone. It is very fast and can run most games at the highest graphics setting. The speakers and the haptic touch are amazing and the display is bright and vibrant.

So, if you're someone who loves gaming and don't really plan to take a tonne of pictures, then this device is a good option for you. Just make sure to take the charger wherever you go and keep the gaming to a minimum when not around a power source.

Amazon's big fall product launch event tonight: Here's what to expect - The Indian Express

Amazon is holding its invite-only product launch event later tonight. It’s safe to assume we are about to learn more about next-generation Echo speakers and Ring devices. But else is there to learn? Unlike an Apple event or a Samsung Galaxy event, there’s no massive hype around Amazon’s fall event. We know for sure Amazon is known for showing crazy devices at its launch events. The event kicks off at 9: 30 pm IST on Wednesday, September 28.

Here’s what you can expect to see at Amazon’s fall product event for 2022.

How to watch Amazon’s 2022 fall event

Amazon’s event is scheduled for Wednesday, September 28, so news should start coming as the launch is still on. Like the last few years, the event is invite-only for the press and won’t be streamed online. But we will be covering the event for you and will update you on the latest news and products.

What to expect from Amazon’s 2022 event

It is easy to guess that we are getting new Echo speakers at the event tonight. Expect the new Echo Dot and Echo Show 8, both speakers are due for an update. Even Amazon’s flagship Echo Studio was last updated two years ago. So it is safe to assume an updated Echo Studio with new internals inside and improved sound quality. Last year, the Echo Show 15 made its debut, a smart speaker resembling a picture frame that hangs on the wall.

Subscriber Only Stories

Speaking of home security, Amazon-owned Ring will also likely show a new camera lineup. During last year’s hardware launch from Amazon, the Always Home Camera stole the limelight. It’s essentially a drone designed to fly around inside your home. An announcement from Eero, the makers behind mesh Wi-Fi systems, is also expected.

Unlike Apple or Google, Amazon is known for creating weird gadgets and its fall launch has become the perfect launch pad for showing off new ideas. Last year, the company unveiled the Amazon Glow for kids. We also got a look at Astro, a robot that combines Alexa and Ring technologies to become your digital dog on wheels.

Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra has 25W charging support, lower than Galaxy S22 Ultra - HT Tech

Samsung Galaxy S23 series has just passed through 3C certification.

Samsung Galaxy S23 series is slated to arrive early next year and one of the lineup models has just passed through 3C certification. According to GSM Arena, the corresponding model number SM-S9180 denotes the highest-tier Galaxy S23 Ultra model. In the certification, the device is listed to support a maximum of 25W charging (11V @ 2.25A).

This is lower than the Galaxy S22 Ultra's 45W charger support, but the S22 Ultra's 45W charging didn't make a significant dent in the charging times compared to the 25W charging of the Galaxy S21 Ultra.

Other testing found that the S22 Ultra only achieved 45W charging for a very short period of time, so perhaps Samsung has figured out how to sustain 25W charging for longer through the charging cycle of the battery, which would still improve charging speeds or even close the gap between the 45W charging figures for the 22 Ultra, as per GSM Arena.

Another possibility is that 25W charging is limited to some variants of the S23 Ultra including, in this case, the Chinese variant.

The S23 Ultra is rumoured to have a similar design and dimensions as the S22 Ultra, thought the camera is expected to see a 200MP sensor update.

Meanwhile, it's expected that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 will power the flagship. Recent reports suggested that Samsung will use Qualcomm chips on all its new lineup's variants, though there's a possibility that some units would be equipped with Samsung Exynos chipsets, as per GSM Arena.

Technology: Apple likely to replace lightening port with C-Type in iPhone 15 - Free Press Journal

New Delhi: Apple tracker Mark Gurman, expects iPhone 15 to come with some "bigger changes," including USB-C (instead of Apple's proprietary Lightning port), the tech giant could introduce a new branding for high-end models.

Currently, phone users world over have been complaining that the exclusive lighenting port, instead of USB-C (C-Type) charging port, makes it difficult for them to charge their iPhone, mostly in the absence of a charger.

This will bring iPhone to a uniform charging port being used across the world.

The company has reportedly started testing the new USB-C feature owing to the European Union's new law that requires all new phones to have USB-C ports by 2024.

Reports further add that Apple may replace the current "Pro Max" branding next year with the top-end iPhone 15 series, calling it "Ultra".

The "Pro Max" branding appeared for the first time with the iPhone 11 series in 2019.

The company has already launched a rugged Watch Ultra and now has 'M1 Ultra' processor.

According to supply chain analyst Ross Young, the 'Dynamic Island' feature could arrive on all iPhone 15 models.

Analysts Ming-Chi Kuo has also suggested that "Ultra" will exclusively have a periscope lens (6x or 5x). Also, the Ultra will come with an improved battery life that lasts three-four hours longer.

With all these exclusive upgrades, the iPhone 15 Ultra is expected to go up in price compared to the 14 Pro Max, possibly starting at $1,200 (up from $1,100).

Google Pixel tablet is coming: Here’s what we know so far - BGR India

Google, back at its annual developer conference, that is, I/O 2022, gave us a glimpse of a whole punch of devices including the Google Pixel 6a, the Pixel 7 series smartphones and the Pixel Watch. There was another device that Google showcased that day — a Pixel tablet. Since then, Google has remained tight lipped about its Pixel tablet. But now, a new report has shared key details pertaining to Google’s upcoming tablet. Also Read - Planning to buy a Fitbit smartwatch? You will need a Google account starting 2023

According to developer Kuba Wojciechowski (via 91Mobiles), the Pixel tablet has entered EVT (engineering validation test) phase. For the unversed, EVT phase comes after a company is done prototyping the device and it ensures that the device is performing right as per the set design and hardware specifications. It helps in identifying and solving key design issues early in the production cycle. The developer says that Google has shipped some Pixel tablet units to India and China for EVT and certification. Also Read - Google confirms to launch Pixel 7, Pixel 7 Pro in India soon

The developer also got hold of some of the key details pertaining to the upcoming Pixel tablet. As per the details shared by the developer, the Google Pixel tablet will sport a 10.95-inch display and be available in two storage variants — 128GB and 256GB. Wojciechowski also said the upcoming Google Pixel tablet will have WiFi 6 for connectivity and come with a first-party USI 2.0 stylus. This tablet may or may not be shipped alongside the tablet when it is launched. Also Read - Google Pixel 7 Pro to be available for pre-booking starting October 6; alleged teaser appears on Flipkart

Older reports suggest that the Google Pixel tablet will be the first device to ship with a 64-bit version of Android 13 and have a dual-camera setup at the back. Additionally, reports have also tipped the device to ship without GPS hardware and sensors, which includes proximity sensor and a barometer. It is tipped to ship with Google’s Tensor system-on-chip that powers the company’s Google Pixel 6 and the Pixel 6 Pro smartphones. The Pixel 7 series smartphone, on the other hand, will ship with the second-generation Tensor chipset.

As far as availability is concerned, we don’t expect the Google Pixel tablet to launch alongside the Pixel 7 series smartphones. Google is likely to launch it sometime next year. In any case, the company has a lot of work to do before it starts shipping the device.

Bored and need a lifehack bad? Check these 5 cool and useful websites you had no idea existed - HT Tech

If you’re bored and looking for a lifehack to make life fun, then you should check these 5 cool websites that you didn’t know existed.

Are you stuck indoors with nothing to do? Have you opened your favorite social media app for the 50th time and closed it because there was nothing new there? If the answer to these questions is a yes, then you need something fresh to get out of the boredom. And what better way than some novel websites that not only provide the entertainment but also give you a useful lifehack at the same time. If you are in the same boat, then check out these 5 cool websites that you had no idea existed.

This website is your ultimate music recommendation platform. If you want some new music but also want to make sure that the music you're being suggested is not completely random, then this website can be your friend. While Spotify and YouTube algorithms do the same thing, you can't really control their behavior. If you click on a song by accident, they will even consider that in their personalization list. This website is simple. You write down three band names that you like and it suggests something similar. And you can always shuffle if you already know the band.

This is a cool way to kill your time. This website is your wacky music maker. Once you enter the website, every alphabet and the space bar key on your keyboard will be assigned a random tone. All you have to do is mix and match and you might just find the inspiration for the next Billboard top 50 song.

If you want a fun game to play, then this is a nice brain twister. The game has multiple boxes in different colors. You start from the cube on the top left. You are given color options on the right. And you have a finite number of moves. Your aim? Drench the entire board in a single color. And how do you do it? Every time you press a color button, the cube turns into that color and it also captures the adjacent cubes of similar color. Now you have to repeat the process till you capture all the cubes.

Ever felt like you had a thought you'd like to share but you wouldn't want anyone to know it was you? Then NOIYS is your place to go. The platform lets you post anonymous messages without needing to log in. Once you have posted, other anonymous users can respond to you. And the best part is that all the messages are deleted after 24 hours. Give it a try, you might make a new friend.

This website is the definition of infotainment. Little Alchemy 2 gives you four elements — fire, water, air and earth. And you have to mix these elements together to form new objects. And then mix those objects to form even newer objects. Mixing is very logic based so mixing two elements will only give you the new object which could be created in real life. This is both a fun game and helps you learn more about the world around us.

Apple rolls out iOS 16.0.2, addressing camera shake on new iPhones and copy/paste bug - GSMArena.com news - GSMArena.com

It’s been less than one week since Apple launched the iPhone 14 lineup and users were reporting violent camera shake when opening the camera on some third-party apps. The issue is now being addresses as an iOS 16.0.2 update is now rolling out to iPhones ahead of schedule.

Apple rolls out iOS 16.0.2, addressing camera shake on new iPhones and copy/paste bug

The shaking of the camera was seemingly caused by the second-generation sensor-shift OIS system in the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max’s main camera. Some users reported loud shaking and grinding noises coming from the camera when opening a non-Apple app that used the camera and make the camera unusable for these apps. This wasn’t affecting my personal iPhone 14 Pro unit.

Apple rolls out iOS 16.0.2, addressing camera shake on new iPhones and copy/paste bug

Other fixes were issued with the update as well. There were some complaints about the new copy/paste prompt that came with iOS 16. It would ask users permission to copy and paste content between apps and its frequency was apparently annoying some users.

The update also fixes an issue that was apparently breaking touch input for some users with unresponsive touch input following a display replacement affecting iPhone X, XR, and iPhone 11.

The update is now rolling out to all supported iPhones. To pull the update, head into Settings > General > Software Update.

Nothing Ear (stick) goes official at London Fashion Week - The Indian Express

Nothing ear stick: Carl Pei’s Nothing has revealed its third product and it’s a pair of earbuds again called the Nothing Ear (stick). The London-based company’s new TWS earbuds seem to be a refresh over its first product, the Nothing ear (1).

The new earbuds were teased during the London Fashion Week, and while the company didn’t talk a lot about the earbuds and its features, we did see the new elongated slim case design, something leaks had also revealed earlier this year. It looks very different from the large squarish case of the ear (1).

The company says that the new stick-shaped charging case was designed to be compact enough to fit into pockets and that its design was inspired by “classic cosmetic silhouettes.”

With pretty much no word on the new earbuds, we can assume they will likely be a version of the ear (1), with a little branding change on the stem. This is something Mukul Sharma’s leak also backed.

We also speculate that the new shape could mean the Ear (stick) may no longer support wireless charging. Leaks also suggest they will not come with ANC (Active Noise Cancellation), although both these points are not officially confirmed yet.

More details on the Nothing Ear (stick) are expected to be revealed at an undisclosed later date, and it is then that we will know more about the earbuds including pricing, colours, new features and international availability.

OnePlus 11 Pro's specs leak: Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and 100W charging in tow - GSMArena.com news - GSMArena.com

Last week, we got our first look at the OnePlus 11 Pro as leakster OnLeaks shared the smartphone's renders. Now the same source is back with the OnePlus 11 Pro's full specs, giving us an idea of what to expect from the Chinese brand's next flagship.

The OnePlus 11 Pro will be powered by the Snapdragon Gen 2 SoC, which is expected to go official in November at Qualcomm's Snapdragon Summit. The smartphone will likely run Android 13-based OxygenOS 13 out of the box and come with up to 16GB RAM and 256GB storage, with the base model having 8GB RAM and 128GB of storage onboard.

The OnePlus 11 Pro will sport a 6.7" QHD+ 120Hz AMOLED screen with a punch hole in the upper-left corner for the 16MP selfie camera - a downgrade from the 10 Pro's 32MP selfie shooter in terms of resolution.

For regular photos and videos, you'll get a 50MP primary camera on the 11 Pro's back panel, joined by a 48MP ultrawide and a 32MP telephoto unit with 2x optical zoom. The camera system will also come with Hasselblad tuning.

Keeping the entire package up and running will be a 5,000 mAh battery with 100W wired charging, but it's unclear if it will go up to 100W in Asia and Europe only or if North American units will also go that fast.

The rest of the OnePlus 11 Pro's highlights include an alert slider, an in-display fingerprint scanner, and Dolby Atmos support. The smartphone will have a USB-C port at the bottom, and wireless connectivity options include Bluetooth 5.2 and Wi-Fi 6E. It will also support 5G networks.

There's no word from OnePlus about the 11 Pro, but it's expected to arrive earlier than the OnePlus 10 Pro, which was officially unveiled this year in January.
