There are several keyboard shortcuts that will allow you to take a screenshot in an instant. Tricks to take Screenshot on Macbook

Take a screenshot on your Macbook by using shortcut keys

With this trick you can capture the entire screen, a window, or just a portion of the screen easily.

To grab the entire screen, you have to press and hold three keys together- Shift, Command, and 3. A thumbnail will appear in the corner of your screen, you can click it to edit the screenshot or save it on your desktop.

If you wish to capture a portion of the screen, press and hold Shift, Command, and 4 together. Now drag the crosshair to select the area of the screen that you want to capture and release your mouse or trackpad button. The screenshot will be saved to your Macbook. You can even edit it by clicking on the thumbnail.

To capture a window or menu, press and hold - Shift, Command, 4, and Space bar. A camera icon will appear on the screen and you have to click the window or menu to take a screenshot of it.

Apart from these, you can also see a screenshot menu by pressing Shift + Cmd + 5. As you click on these, a rectangular menu will appear in the bottom of the display, right above the Dock. You will see 7 icons with different functions. Just click on the one that can capture the screenshot.

Where are the screenshots saved on Macbook?

All the screenshots taken on Macbook are by-default saved to the desktop with the name ”Screen Shot” in Png format.
