ChatGPT can now browse the internet, OpenAI’s latest update offers accurate responses - The Indian Express

OpenAI’s ChatGPT has received a major update, which includes the ability to connect to the internet. Additionally, the latest version of GPT-4 now incorporates more than 70 third-party browser plugins, among other features. Currently, these enhancements are exclusively available to ChatGPT Plus subscribers, who pay $20 per month.

With ChatGPT now able to access the internet, it will generate more up-to-date and accurate responses even on topics like recent events. This newfound capability allows ChatGPT to tap into the vast pool of information available online and deliver intelligent and insightful answers with the latest facts and figures.

Since ChatGPT was trained using information up until 2021, it previously struggled to address queries relating to recent developments and advancements. However, the latest version ensures that ChatGPT Plus users can make the most out of this AI-powered generative tool.

In addition to these new capabilities, a ChatGPT Plus subscription offers faster response times, priority access to new features, and uninterrupted service even during peak hours. Premium users also have the option to choose between GPT-3.5 and GPT-4. Moreover, the integration of third-party browser plugins, including platforms like Slack, is expected to enhance productivity through AI-powered assistance.

As the AI race gains momentum, with Google announcing improvements to Bard at I/O 2023, OpenAI is actively making various enhancements to its large language model. Furthermore, a recent report suggests that OpenAI is working on a new open-source AI model, showcasing its commitment to promoting collaboration and accessibility in the AI community.
