Nokia G42 5G smartphone is here. HMD Global, the company which holds the license to manufacture Nokia branded smartphones, has launched the Nokia G42 5G smartphone in India. The smartphone is made with a 2-piece unibody design. The rear panel of Nokia G42 5G is made of 65% recycled plastic. The box of the budget smartphone includes a 20W fast charger, cable and a jelly case.
Price and availability
The Nokia G42 5G comes with a price tag of Rs 12,599 and it comes in two colour options So Purple and So Grey. Customers can purchase the smartphone online from Amazon.in starting September 15.
Nokia G42 5G specifications
The Nokia G42 5G features a 6.56-inch HD+ display with a resolution of 720x1612 pixel resolution. The display offers 90Hz refresh rate and it is protected with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on top.
Beneath the surface, the Nokia G42 5G is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 480+ chipset, accompanied by 6GB of RAM and an additional 5GB of virtual RAM support. The smartphone offers 128GB of built-in storage, expandable up to 1TB using a microSD card.
The dual SIM smartphone runs Android 13 operating system. The company has also confirmed that the smartphone will receive 2 years of OS update and 3 years of security updates.
The imaging duties are handled by a triple rear camera setup which comprises a 50MP primary camera, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 2MP macro lens. For selfies, there's an 8MP front-facing camera.
The Nokia G42 5G comes with an IP52 rating, providing protection against water and dust. The smartphone is backed by a 5000 mAh battery with 20W fast charging support.
